Saving & Exporting Screener Results

After you’ve applied filters in the stock screener and found a list of trade-worthy stocks, the next step is to save or export that list for later use.

This is especially helpful if:

  • You want to compare scans over time.
  • Share stock ideas with teammates or mentors.
  • Maintain a log of potential trades.

Saving the filter setup (called a "screen") is different from saving the results. Let’s go through both.

If you want to reuse the same filter conditions later:

  1. Open the Stock Screener
  2. Apply all your filters (e.g., price, RSI, volume)
  3. Click the three dots (⋮) on the top-right of the screener.
  4. Select “Save Screen”
  5. Give it a name like “Breakout Setup” or “Swing RSI < 30”.
  6. Click Save

You can now access it anytime from the “Screens” dropdown menu.

Note: This saves the logic, not the actual stock list shown at that moment.

If you want to save the actual list of stocks that showed up:

  1. Select the screener results you want to save.
  2. Right-click anywhere on the table
  3. Click “Export to .CSV”

This downloads the list into a CSV file, which you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.

The file includes:

  • Stock names and symbols.
  • Last price
  • % change
  • All columns you had visible (like RSI, volume, MA, etc.)

For better tracking, use naming conventions like:

  • BreakoutStocks_2025-08-06.csv
  • SwingScan_RSI30_Week32.csv

You can also create folders based on strategies (e.g., “Intraday,” “Earnings,” “F&O Picks”) to keep your research organized.

TradingView lets you save both:

  • The logic of your screener (as a saved screen)
  • The results (as a downloadable file)

Together, these tools help you stay consistent, track patterns, and build a repeatable research workflow, essential for serious trading.
