Shelter Pharma Limited originally named as Shelter Pharmacy, was converted from a Partnership Firm M/s Shelter Pharma to a Public Limited Company under the name Shelter Pharma Limited on 12 October, 2007 with the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat. Company primarily focus in manufacturing of ayurvedic and herbal products with wellbuilt presence in Human Pharma as well as Veterinary space. The Company was founded in 1965 by Mr. N. R. Gandhi, a wellknown practitioner of Ayurveda and Unani healthcare systems. Introduction of new generation has added zeal and ambition to the company resulting in reinvention of entire company. Aggressive and bold strategic decisions taken by the management has put it on fast growth track.The Company started with a few products about decades back. However, over a period of time, it has added products to portfolio through inhouse R D efforts backed by sound knowledge of Ayurveda. The business was slowly expanded from local presence in Himmatnagar to well spread presence in the State of Gujarat. The Company remained a family enterprise before incorporation of the Company having a consolidated position in Gujarat. Introduction of new generation of promoters, set up of new companies around 2007 brought new ideas and aspirations to the business. The Company has reworked its organizational structure, product portfolio, distribution network, pricing, packaging and internal processes. It also invested substantially in strengthening infrastructure with fresh fund infusion to improve its manufacturing capacity in Himmatnagar. Apart from these, it sources required raw material from nearby villages, directly from farmers. It has long relationships with farmers, giving an assured supply of herbs and plants. It focuses on rural/semi urban market as its clientele to offer high quality price competitive remedies to villages.As of now, the Company is present in most of noncritical segment of Human as well as Veterinary Pharma through its well spread portfolio. It enjoys a good product acceptance and market share in the State of Gujarat. In the Human pharma segment, the Company has product portfolio of OTC products as well Ethical pharma products. Similarly, it has OTC and Ethical presence in Veterinary segment. It has a respectable track record of efficacy of its products. Presently, it is moving aggressively to tap these opportunities with geographical expansion backed by intense marketing branding efforts. The Company launched Nutraceuticals product like Emune 19, D3 Cure, Beta Glucan, Ferro cure etc. in 2021. The Company made an Initial Public Offer (IPO) and allotted a fresh issue of 38,16,000 Equity Shares of face value of Rs 10 each by raising funds aggregating to Rs 16.02 Crore in August, 2023.The Company launched Nutraceuticals products like Shelters Allvitamin Tablet, Joemega Capsule and OTC product Hairol etc. in Indian domestic market in FY 2025.
