Incorporated in 1981, Raasi Refractories Limited is mainly engaged in manufacturing of High Alumina and High Grog Refractories and mortars and insulation and acid proof bricks. It has large production facility over an area of about 100 acres of land at Narketpally Town near Hyderabad. The Company was promoted by B.V.Raju, K.S.N.Raju and Dr R V Raju.To manufacture 15000 tones of high alumina and high grog refractories, Company undertook a project in 1984 at Nalgonda in Andhra Pradesh costing Rs 3 Crores. This project was completed in 1984. The Ring Chamber Kiln was commissioned in December 1984. Trial production in some departments were started by the end of December 1984. It commenced the commercial production in 1985.The Company marketed fire clay checker bricks and mullite bricks and developed silica bricks. It manufactured high value added items like silica bricks, mulite bricks, kynite bricks etc. Presently, it is concentrating on development of slice coke over Refractories and also contemplating to upgrade the existing laboratory facilities.The other consumers of refractory products are Cement, Copper, Glass, Aluminum and Petrochemical industries etc. which are witnessing reasonable growth. Products of Raasi Refractories are manufactured at its manufacturing facility at Hyderabad, in Telangana. The Company has ongoing programs for improving efficiency and effectiveness of its manufacturing processes, raw material cost, energy conservation, control over working capital and to produce special refractories at low cost so as to add maximum value to the customers. Energy efficient installations have been made at the factory. Best in class safety measures and processes have been put in place and improved upon at the factory and all working sites.
