YUGRISHI has set up Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital is eradicating the curable blindness from the lower income geographies of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, Under this project YUGRISHI provide support towards conducting cataract surgeries for people from the vulnerable communities in SARAN, BHOJPUR, Sitamarhi, Begusarai district of Bihar.
Objectives of the Project
- To identify patients suffering from cataract by conducting monthly eye screening camps;
- To meet immediate eye care needs through Specialized Eye Camps and providing counselling and safety measures for eye care;
- To conduct (3000) cataract surgeries for people from the vulnerable communities in SARAN, BHOJPUR, Sitamarhi, Begusarai district of BIHAR;
- To sensitize people about prevailing eye care issues, their prevention and care by organizing Awareness Camps.
