Welterman International Limited was promoted in 1992 by the Dhanani Group of Companies as manufacturers of leather soles with technical assistance from one of the world leaders in footwear and footwear components manufacturing machines industry MAMECC from Italy. Company is engaged in manufacturing of inorganic water soluble chemical fertilizers.Initially, Welterman engaged in manufacturing of leather soles, rubber soles, TPR, TPU PVC soles, specialized injected soles and leather soles with masonite heels. It computerised designing and pattern making studios. The production capacity was 18 lakh pairs of leather unit soles per annum. In view of persistent unviability of the production unit, the plant of the Company closed in May, 2009. The Company became a Sick Industry registered under the provisions of Sick Industrial Companies Act, 1985 in 2012.
