Suraj Limited was initially incorporated as Suraj Finsec Limited on 20 January, 1994. The name of the Company was changed to Suraj Stainless Limited on December 16, 1999 and again attained its present name to Suraj Limited on June 24, 2011. The Company was promoted by Mr. Ashok T Shah, Mr. Dinesh S Shah and their associates. Company is Indias leading Manufacturer of Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes, Tubes and U Tubes, Flanges Fittings with Electro polishing having plants at Thol and Chandarda, in Mehsana District of Gujarat. Earlier, it engaged into investment, leasing and finance. After amalgamation with Suraj Stainless Limited, the business of the Company was entirely changed into manufacturing Stainless Steel Welded pipes/Tubes. In 2007, the Company established separate manufacturing units like welded pipes/tubes, Seamless Pipes/ tubes. The production of the plant started in 2008. The Company completed cold draw facility of pipes during the year 200809.The amalgamation of the Company with Suraj Stainless Limited became effective from 01042009. Through the said Amalgamation, the Company allotted 22,55,000 Equity Shares of Rs 10/ each to the shareholders of Suraj Limited. In 2018, the Company developed a new Electro Polishing Plant for Stainless Steel Seamless Tubes. Suraj Enterprise Private Limited have become Associate Companies during the year 202425.

For the full year FY2025–2026, revenue reached ₹237.97 crore and profit touched at ₹11.71 crore.
