SBI Cards & Payment Services Ltd, incorporated in 1998 and promoted by the State Bank of India with Abhay Kumar Sinha as founding CEO, is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. Listed on both the NSE (SBICARD) and BSE (543066) since its IPO in 2020, it operates as the largest credit card issuer in India after SBI’s acquisition of GE Capital’s card business. The company offers a wide range of card products and payment services catering to retail and corporate customers.

SBI Cards operates across multiple segments: retail credit cards, corporate and co-branded cards, merchant acquiring, and payments processing. Key offerings include lifestyle, travel, and fuel cards issued directly or in partnership with airlines, banks, and retailers. It also earns revenue from annual and joining fees, interest income on outstanding balances, customer late fees, merchant discount rates, and value-added services such as insurance and concierge. The company monetises customer engagement via reward programmes, EMI options, and digital payment solutions through its platform and partnerships.
