Lords Chloro Alkali Limited (LCAL), formerly known Modi Alkalies Chemicals Limited was incorporated in March, 1979. The Company name was changed to Lords Chloro Alkali Limited on October 28, 2003. At present, LCAL is controlled by MPL, MIL and the K N Modi Group. The Promoters have interests in Modipon, MIL, MCL and Modi Cement. The Company is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing of caustic soda and other chemicals. The Companys facilities span across 84 acres in the Matsya Industrial Area with stateoftheart facilities at producing diverse range of high quality chemicals like Caustic Soda Lye, Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrogen Gas. The Company has an installed capacity of 1,05,000 tons of Caustic Soda and 17,500 tons of Chlorinated Paraffin Wax per annum. Company caters to the paper, dyes, chemicals, soap, and plastic industry in the northern states of the country.The Company also commenced the production in year 1983 and started manufacturing Caustic Soda (lye flakes), Chlorine, Hydrochloric Acid and value added products like Stable Bleaching Powder (SBP), Tri Chloro Ethylene (TCE). The Company started its Stable Bleaching Power (SBP) plant during year 2006. Tri Chloro Ethylene (TCE) plant also was restarted in 2007. The Company had taken up a brown field project for expansion capacity of caustic soda by 230 TPD purchased from Standard Alkali Industries Ltd. (Mafat Lai Group), Mumbai, of which the 100 TPD part expansion got commissioned in May, 2008. The production of TriChloro Ethylene (TCE) was restarted in Jun 10. During the year 201415, 107 TPD Asahi Plant was fully revamped and recommissioned in February, 2015.The Company commissioned New Sodium Hypochlorite Plant of 80 TPD capacity in FY 202122. In October 2024, Company commissioned a 16 MW DC solar power plant in Bikaner. In FY 2025, Company commissioned an additional 90 TPD Caustic Soda capacity, raising the total installed capacity from 210 TPD to 300 TPD. In addition, Company also expanded its Chlorinated Paraffin Wax (CPW) capacity by 30 TPD taking the total installed capacity at 50 TPD.
