Varun Beverages shares are in focus as the company announced the rescheduled record date for the final dividend payment on 8 April 2026, at ₹0.50 per share.
Varun Beverages' stock gained attention after the company fixed the record date for its final dividend. Around 2.29 lakh shares were traded, with a turnover of ₹9.08 crore.
The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹1.35 lakh crore on 2 April 2026.
The board has set 8 April 2026 as the record date to determine eligible shareholders. The company has announced a final dividend of ₹0.50 per equity share for the financial year ended 31 December 2025.
The dividend, cleared at the annual general meeting on 1 April, will be paid from 10 April onwards.
Currently, the Varun Beverages Limited (VBL) stock is trading at ₹398 at 11:07 AM on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
What Is The Recent Stock Trend?
The dividend announcement brought the stock back into focus, even as it has seen a correction in recent weeks, having fallen about 10% in the past month and over 18% so far this year.
While the dividend itself is small, such announcements tend to support short-term interest, especially around the record date.
What Weighed On Recent Performance?
The company’s 2025 performance remained on the softer side. Extended rainfall during key months affected beverage demand, which is usually sensitive to weather conditions.
Volume growth stayed modest, and there was limited movement in pricing. This combination kept overall growth in check, particularly in the domestic market.

What Should Investors Watch Next?
The next few quarters will be important from a demand standpoint. Summer consumption trends will play a key role in determining volume growth. Investors may also follow the company's move outside its main bottling business.
How the company establishes a broader distribution platform and its exploration of various categories can be the drivers of its future growth.
On the other hand, the company's international strategy, particularly the news about new partnerships and market expansions, is another factor that investors should pay attention to.
However, the company's stock will still be greatly affected by the volume recovery and margin improvement.
