What is pledging in Pay later (MTF) and what are the steps involved?

Starting February 24, 2025, your Pay Later (MTF) trades will be auto-pledge for stocks purchased under Pay Later (MTF), eliminating the need for manual pledge confirmation.

  • No Change in Pledge Charges – Your pledge charges remain the same. Know more about this here.
  • Direct Credit of Pay Later (MTF) Securities: Securities will now be credited directly to your demat account.
  • No Pledge Intimation Links for Pay Later (MTF): Since pledging is automatic, you won’t receive pledge confirmation links anymore.
  • Automatic Pledge Creation for Pay Later (MTF): No more manual pledge confirmations on NSDL. Your stocks will be auto-pledged, ensuring seamless trading.
