Shentracon Chemicals Limited was incorporated on July 14, 1993. The Company is a Manufacturer of Chemicals. The operations at the Companys manufacturing plant at Dunkuni, in the district of Hooghly were badly affected due to labour unrest and followed by Suspension of the manufacturing operations since 18th September, 1996. In view of that, the Company could not achieve the targeted production during the year and had to incur considerable amount of loss. Due to uneconomical condition and technical unavailability, the production in chemical plant was shut down since 18.09.1996. The Board of Directors resolved to close the Companys main business of chemical effective from 01st April 2010. The management also disposed off the existing chemical Plant Machineries and Electrical appurtenant thereto on block basis and transferred the same from Fixed Assets to Current Assets. During the year 202425, the Company did not carry out any business operations in real terms. There has been no operational income or commercial activity during the year. The Company has undertaken strategic initiatives to revamp its operations, enhance corporate governance, and strengthen financial stability to sustain longterm business growth and shareholder value. However, the company is further exploring future possibilities of trading in chemicals and allied product, to run a manufacturing unit on contract basis in same line of business.
