Franklin Leasing and Finance Limited was incorporated as Franklin Leasing and Finance Private Limited on March 16, 1992 under the Companies Act, 1956, in Delhi. Subsequently, the Company became a Public Limited Company and the name of Company was changed to Franklin Leasing and Finance Limited. A fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued on February 13, 2014 by the Registrar of Companies, New Delhi. The Company made a public issue of 42,24,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each, and raised Rs 6.33 crores in October, 2015. The Company is primarily a NBFC Company under registration with RBI and is engaged primarily in financial services of advancing loans and investing/trading in securities. Company is a NBFC registered with RBI to carry on NBFC Activities. existing promoter i.e. Mr. Pawan Dalmia, and M/s. Confident Financial Advisory Pvt. Ltd had acquired controlling interest in the company in 2013.The Company received its NBFC Registration in 2001. Hence, it worked in the business of providing short term as well as longer duration loans and advances in the North Indian region for around a decade. Company had in the past made losses while investing and trading in securities. The Company has been running on a modest operating scale till the mid of FY 201314, however, post the induction of Mr. Pawan Dalmia, it has commenced a process of improving the internal systems including but not limited to Trading Strategies, Financial Discipline and better utilization of its fund based portfolio.
