Candour Techtex Limited was initially incorporated as Amita Texturisers Private Limited on June 17, 1986. Thereafter, the name of the Company was changed to Chandni Engineering Private Limited. The Company became a public limited company and the name of the Company was changed to Chandni Engineering Limited on January 4, 1990 and again to Chandni Textiles Limited on October 14, 2005. The name was further changed to Chandni Textiles Engineering Industries Limited on December 7, 2009 and was later renamed to Candour Techtex Limited in 2021, resulting a Scheme of Demerger.The Company was promoted by J R Mehta and Prerna Textile Industries Pvt Ltd. The Company is dealing in diversified business activities, primarily in manufacturing and trading of textiles, plastics and other items. Even though the company was incorporated in 1986, due to the general recession in the textile machinery industry, it deferred project activities till 1993. It started working towards the project only in 1993. In 1994, CEL implemented the project of setting up a plant in Daman to manufacture various automatic and semiautomatic weaving machines, which was part financed through a public issue in Oct.94.CEL has technical collaborations with Hanjin Textile Machinery, Korea, for the manufacture of Rapier loom and Sinkwang Machinery Works, Korea, for auto cop change looms.The Chenille yarn manufactured by the company was well accepted in the domestic as well as international markets and the company has become a dominant player in the chenille yarn market, during 19992000. The company has absorbed the Technology for manufacturing Auto Cop Change Looms from M/s Sing Wang Machinery Co Ltd South Korea. It launched a new TwoforOne Twisting model under name PrernaSapru in 200708. It revived the Engineering Division and launched advanced model of twisting machine in 2009.In 201718, through the Scheme of Arrangement between the Company and Chandni Machines Limited, the Demerged Company i.e. Engineering Division of Chandni Textiles Engineering Industries Limited was transferred into Chandni Machines Limited, on a going concern basis effective from July 01, 2016 and the said Scheme became effective on 24th January, 2018. Company has added latest new Relax Dryer for all types of NonWoven Fabrics in FY 2025.
