SpaceX is preparing for a massive IPO in June 2026, targeting a $75 billion raise that could set a new global record. The listing will test its trillion-dollar valuation while bringing greater transparency and investor scrutiny.
SpaceX is set to take a major step toward the public markets, with plans to raise $75 billion through an initial public offering (IPO) in June 2026.
People familiar with the knowledge say that the company could file its draft prospectus with regulators within days.
If the issue goes through at this size, it would become the largest IPO ever, overtaking Saudi Aramco’s 2019 listing that raised $25.6 billion.
The development follows sustained interest in large technology-driven businesses and comes at a time when SpaceX has strengthened its position in both launch services and satellite operations.
The company SpaceX, which is developing a spacecraft for reaching Mars, was valued at about $1.25 trillion earlier this year after its integration with Elon Musk’s AI venture, xAI.
Shift To Public Market Discipline
SpaceX has created a dominant position in the global launch market, mostly because of its reusable rocket technology.
Elon Musk is the main owner of the company, but investment funds and technologically advanced major corporations, including Alphabet, also hold various stakes in it.
Analysts say that by going public, the company would be subject to a whole new level of scrutiny and would have to maintain transparency.
Besides revealing the financial details in much greater depth, particularly its revenue, the company would also be under much stronger pressure from shareholders to be profitable regularly over time.

What Investors Can Expect Next?
A comprehensive prospectus is expected to be released in the near future, shedding more light on SpaceX's financial status and activities.
The IPO might turn out to be the true test of how much the company is worth in the market, revealing the part of its private market valuation that can survive the public market challenge.
Considering the scale and the high profile of the issue, it is possible that there will be a great demand from international institutional investors.
SpaceX's proposed IPO has indeed put the company in the international limelight, with expectations equally big as the proposed offering.
