NVIDIA is developing NemoClaw, an open-source AI agent platform designed to automate enterprise tasks, with discussions underway ahead of its developer conference in San Jose.
NVIDIA is working on an open-source platform designed to help companies deploy autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agents inside enterprise software systems, according to people familiar with the company’s plans.
The project, known internally as NemoClaw, is expected to allow organisations to run automated agents capable of performing tasks across workplace applications and digital infrastructure.
Discussions about the platform are currently taking place privately with several software companies. NVIDIA has already approached a number of technology firms ahead of its annual developer conference scheduled next week in San Jose.
The initiative reflects NVIDIA’s broader effort to expand beyond its dominant position in AI chips and build a larger software ecosystem around artificial intelligence.
What Is NVIDIA’s NemoClaw Platform, And What Can It Do?
NemoClaw is expected to be released as an open-source platform that allows companies to run AI agents capable of carrying out tasks within enterprise software systems.
Unlike conventional chatbots that mainly answer prompts, these agents are built to perform a series of steps across different applications with limited human supervision. In practice, that could mean analysing datasets, preparing reports, or completing tasks that require moving between several digital tools.
Reports suggest the platform will be closely integrated with NVIDIA’s NeMo framework, the Nemotron model family, and the company’s AI inference microservices.
Another key aspect of the platform is its hardware flexibility. NemoClaw is expected to work across systems powered by processors from NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, or other chipmakers, rather than being tied to a single type of hardware.
The platform is also expected to include built-in protections for data security and privacy, an area that has become increasingly important as companies begin testing autonomous AI agents inside corporate environments.
Because NemoClaw is planned as an open-source platform, early collaborators may gain access before public release and contribute to development.
NVIDIA has not publicly commented on the project so far.
Why Is NVIDIA Investing In AI Agents And Automation Tools?
The planned platform reflects the growing interest in AI agents capable of completing tasks independently.
Earlier this year, a community-developed project called OpenClaw gained attention among developers for its ability to run locally on personal machines and automate activities such as coding, writing and research.
OpenClaw was later acquired by OpenAI, which also hired the project’s creator. That development highlighted the rapid rise of autonomous software tools.
Many existing AI assistants still rely heavily on direct prompts from users. One of the goals behind agent-based systems is to reduce the need for constant prompts. Instead of waiting for instructions, the software can plan a series of steps and carry them out on its own.
Companies, however, are still approaching the idea carefully. Some firms have already warned staff not to run experimental AI agents on work devices, citing concerns about unpredictable behaviour and possible security vulnerabilities.
For NVIDIA, NemoClaw could also play a role in strengthening its position in the wider AI ecosystem. As several major AI labs move toward designing their own chips, NVIDIA has been expanding its software capabilities alongside its hardware business.
In recent months the company has introduced foundational models such as Nemotron and Cosmos, technologies that could eventually support more capable autonomous AI agents.

Why NVIDIA’s AI Push Could Put Indian IT Stocks In Focus
By 2026, more than 90% of Indian business executives may use AI agents in some capacity, according to industry estimates, with information technology (IT) services firms anticipated to be among the first to do so.
NVIDIA's growing AI platform is already influencing the strategies of a number of major Indian technology companies.
For instance, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) recently won the NVIDIA Rising Star Consulting Partner of the Year award and established a special NVIDIA Business Unit. The business has been developing its enterprise AI deployment and automation solutions capabilities.
Additionally, Infosys is widening its partnership with NVIDIA by becoming a gold sponsor at NVIDIA GTC 2026, the company’s flagship AI conference.
HCL Technologies (HCLTech) is another participant at GTC 2026 as a gold sponsor, where it plans to present solutions focused on AI factory infrastructure.
As companies experiment with autonomous software tools, investors are likely to keep an eye on firms building platforms and services around NVIDIA’s AI stack.
