HCLTech has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to develop agentic AI solutions for enterprises. The collaboration will combine Gemini-based tools, cloud transformation work, and sector-specific deployments across business operations.
HCLTech has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud as enterprise clients increasingly look for AI systems that can move beyond testing environments and work inside day-to-day business operations.
The latest collaboration will revolve around AI agents built using Google’s Gemini models and enterprise AI tools, with the two companies aiming to take these solutions across sectors such as manufacturing, telecom, and software services.
HCLTech said the focus is now shifting toward practical AI deployment linked to business goals, but will these partnerships begin showing commercial impact at scale?
What Will HCLTech Build Under The Expanded Google Cloud Partnership?
HCLTech will use Google Cloud tools such as Gemini Enterprise and Gemini Code Assist to build AI agents that can work inside enterprise software systems through its AI Force platform.
The immediate focus is on tasks where companies are trying to reduce manual effort, including coding support, workflow management, and day-to-day operational processes.
The partnership also covers cloud transformation projects, with HCLTech helping companies move systems from Oracle, SAP, and VMware to cloud platforms. For many businesses, these upgrades are now happening alongside AI adoption.
HCLTech said the aim is to help clients adopt AI in ways that are tied more closely to business priorities, particularly in areas where companies are looking for faster decision support and better process efficiency.
The company is also widening sector-led work through its Agentic AI Centre of Excellence. Its existing solutions include Insight for manufacturing-focused analytics and Netsight for telecom operations.
Alongside the technology build-out, HCLTech plans to raise its Google Cloud-certified talent base from 12,000 to over 35,000 in the next three years, showing how execution capacity is now as important as the underlying tools.
Why Is Agentic AI Becoming Central To Enterprise Technology Spending?
For companies, the appeal of agentic AI lies in its ability to move beyond text generation and take part in actual workflows inside software systems. In practice, that means it can handle a chain of steps, pull information from different applications, and complete parts of a task with limited human input.
That distinction is becoming important for enterprises that want AI to fit into operational processes where execution matters more than experimentation.
This is one reason technology spending is gradually shifting toward systems that can automate workflows across departments, especially in areas where decisions involve multiple software layers and structured data.

What Does This Partnership Mean For HCLTech Investors?
For investors, the bigger question is how quickly such partnerships begin showing up in business numbers rather than remaining strategic announcements.
HCLTech has already indicated that advanced AI services contribute more than $100 million in quarterly revenue, offering an early sign that enterprise demand is beginning to convert into actual billing.
AI continues to remain one of the most closely watched themes in the technology sector, with investors tracking how companies are building practical business use cases around it. For HCLTech, partnerships of this kind may draw attention not just for the announcement itself, but for how steadily AI-related opportunities begin reflecting in future growth.
