NTPC Green Energy Share Price

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, was incorporated as a Public Limited Company dated April 7, 2022, with the Registrar of Companies, Delhi Haryana. The Company is accorded Schedule A Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) status by Department of Public Enterprises in October 2025. The main business of the Company is to carry on power generation through nonconventional / renewable energy sources in wind, hydro, solar, tidal, geothermal, biomass, wave, waste, hybrid and other production of green molecules etc. The Company in 2023, acquired 15 renewable assets with a combined capacity of 2,861 MW, as well as equity shareholding in NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, from the Corporate Promoter, NTPC Limited. The wholly owned Subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited launched its first wind project, with a capacity of 50 MW, in Dayapar, in Bhuj District of Gujarat. The Company and Indian Oil Corporation Limited incorporated a joint venture company Indian Oil NTPC Green Energy Private Limited (INGEL) for developing grid connected and offgrid renewable energybased power projects in 202223. In 2024, Company commissioned a 40 MW solar photovoltaic project in Ayodhya. NTPC Renewable Energy Limited further launched its first solar plant in Chhatargarh, Rajasthan with a capacity of 150 MW. The Company raised money from public of Rs 10000 Crore by issuing 92,68,24,881 fresh issue of equity shares of face value of Rs 10 each by way of initial public offering in November, 2024. During the financial year 202425, Company added 176 MW to its operational capacity. As on 31st March 2025, the standalone operational capacity reached 2,901 MW. Additionally, the acquisition of Ayana Renewable Power through its joint venture ONGPL, added over 4 GW of operational capacity, strengthening the presence across the renewable energy value chain.During the year 2026, the Company added 4,174 MW of renewable capacity, taking total operational capacity to 10,076 MWs. NTPC MAHAPREIT Green Energy Limited and Chhattisgarh NTPC Green Energy Limited were incorporated as new subsidiaries in FY 2026. The Company raised Rs1,500 crore through issuance of listed nonconvertible debentures on a private placement basis in 2026.

For the full year FY2026–2027, revenue reached ₹3035.12 crore and profit touched at ₹501.5 crore. As of Jun '26, NTPC Green Energy’s market capitalisation stood at ₹74,766.82 crores. Shareholding as of Jun '26 shows promoters holding 89%, with FIIs at 1.7%, DIIs at 5.2%, and public at 4.1%.
