MM Forgings Limited (Formerly known Madras Motors Private Limited) was incorporated in 1946. The Company went public in 1975. Originally dealing in imported motorcycles, it later diversified to establish steel forging plants. The Companys name was changed to M M Forgings Limited in April, 1993.The Company is engaged in the manufacture of Steel Forgings. The plants for manufacture are located at Singampunari Sivagangai District, Viralimalai Pudukkottai District and Karanaithangal Village, Kanchipuram District, all within the state of Tamil Nadu. The Company has its machining plant in Kursi Road, Barabanki situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh.During 2001, the company has increased its installed capacity of steel forgings from 15000 tpa to 20000 tpa. The technology collaboration with Tokai Corporation of Japan has enabled the company to improve its quality and productivity. The company has completed 2 Wind farm in Muppandal and the same is expected to generated 6 Million KWHr of power each year. In 2002 the company has merged its wholly owned subsidiary viz Gears India Madaras Ltd,The production capacity of Steel Forgings is being increased from 20000 tonnes to 26500 tonnes and this is under process at the end of the financial year 200304.Machining capacity has also been substantially increased in line with changing customer demand.The Company acquired majority stake in the subsidiary Company, DVS Industries Private Limited during the financial year 201718 and DVS Industries was made wholly owned subsidiary company in FY 201819. The Company acquired Cafoma Autoparts Pvt. Ltd. on 15th October 2021 and was made a wholly owned subsidiary Company. Suvarchas Vidyut Pvt Ltd. was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company on 31st March 2022.In FY 202324, the Companys wholly owned subsidiary, Cafoma Autoparts Private Limited got amalgamated with the Company from April 1, 2024 , making the Scheme of Amalgamation effective on 27 May, 2024. DVS Industries Private Limited, wholly owned subsidiary has got amalgamated with the Company on April 1, 2024 in FY 202425.The Board of Directors, at its meeting held on 3 February 2025, had approved the Scheme of Amalgamation of DVS Industries Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, with the Company, dated 01 April 2024. The Company is currently awaiting the pronouncement of the order to give effect to the said amalgamation in 2026.

For the full year FY2026–2027, revenue reached ₹1605.49 crore and profit touched at ₹98.67 crore. As of Jun '26, M M Forgings’s market capitalisation stood at ₹2,701.36 crores. Shareholding as of Jun '26 shows promoters holding 56.3%, with FIIs at 2.4%, DIIs at 7.5%, and public at 33.7%.
