Vedanta Iron and Steel Limited was incorporated in India as Public Limited company dated October 10, 2023 vide certificate of Incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai. The Company was incorporated for carrying on the business activities in the metal and mining sector. Company is involved in the exploration, mining, and processing of iron ore, alongside its valueadded businesses.The Iron Ore Undertaking of VEDL has demerged into the Company as a going concern basis, making the Scheme effective from May 1, 2026. As consideration for the demerger of the Iron Ore Business Undertaking, VISL has issued and allotted its 3,91,06,86,689 equity shares to the eligible shareholders of VEDL holding fully paidup equity shares in the ratio of 1:1. 391,03,88,057equity shares of Re 1 each have been allotted by the Company pursuant to the Scheme of Arrangement for Demerger.
