Rallis India Limited is one of the leading companies operating in the agricultural inputs sector in India. The company became part of the Tata Group in 1964. It was officially incorporated on 23 August 1948. Rallis develops and sells products used during different stages of the crop cycle. Its product portfolio includes crop protection chemicals, crop nutrition products, and seeds. The company also distributes pesticides, fertilisers, and other farm inputs through a wide network of dealers. Manufacturing units are located in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The company also runs research facilities focused on crop science and agricultural technologies. Rallis India shares are listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE: RALLIS) as well as the Bombay Stock Exchange (BOM:500355).

Rallis India earns most of its revenue from crop protection products. These include insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides sold in both domestic and export markets.

Another key segment is crop nutrition. Under this segment, the company sells fertilisers, micronutrients, bio stimulants, and organic products used to improve soil health and plant growth.

The company also operates a seeds business through its subsidiary Metahelix Life Sciences. Seeds for crops such as maize and rice form part of this portfolio.

  • 2021: Launched several new crop protection products and a manufacturing facility at Dahej.
  • 2024: Launched a fully automated 8,000 MT water-soluble fertiliser plant in Akola.
  • Rallis India is dedicated to products that enhance both crop yields and soil vitality. The company champions the use of biopesticides, biofertilisers, and organic solutions for crops.
