Hyundai Motor Company was founded by Chung Ju‑Yung on December 29, 1967, and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. The Indian subsidiary, Hyundai Motor India, was incorporated on May 6, 1996, with its registered office in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. Hyundai is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE: 544274) and National Stock Exchange (NSE: HYUNDAIEQ) in India, and its parent is publicly traded in South Korea. The company is a global automotive leader, producing cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles, electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

Hyundai operates several core verticals:

  • Passenger Vehicles: Sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, EVs, and commercial vans.
  • Commercial Vehicles: Light trucks, buses, and vans.
