PhysicsWallah Limited was first registered under the name of Physics Wallah Private Limited on 6 June 2020 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The firm began as an online teaching institution that aimed at offering low-cost coaching for competitive exams. With time, it has added online, offline, and hybrid learning models to its services. On 8 January 2025, the company changed its name to Physics Wallah
Limited and became a public limited company, having already switched to a private limited company. The company is traded in both the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE: PWL) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BOM:544609).

Physics Wallah is an education technology company that sells coaching and learning services for competitive examinations and academic courses via various channels of delivery.
