KRBL Limited, established in 1889, is one of the oldest and largest rice milling companies in India. Headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, the company is listed on both the National Stock Exchange (KRBL) and Bombay Stock Exchange (530813). Founded by Khushi Ram and Behari Lal, KRBL is best known for its flagship brand – India Gate Basmati Rice – and has a strong presence in over 80 countries. It operates fully integrated facilities for rice processing, packaging, and renewable energy generation.

KRBL’s operations are structured across three primary segments:

  • Agri-Business: Involves procurement, milling, and marketing of basmati and non-basmati rice. Key brands include India Gate, Nur Jahan, and Unity.
  • Renewable Energy: Operates wind and solar power units and uses biomass for captive energy needs, enhancing sustainability.
  • By-products and Bran Oil: Generates revenue through the sale of rice husk, bran, and rice bran oil.

The company earns revenue primarily through domestic and international rice sales. It leverages a strong brand portfolio and integrated supply chain to maintain leadership in the premium basmati segment.
