IRFC has largely delivered steady earnings over the past few quarters, supported by stable demand for railway financing. This time, investors will be looking beyond the headline numbers for any comments on borrowing costs and whether the company expects its margins to remain stable in the coming quarters.
The management's outlook on railway infrastructure financing could also be important as the Centre continues to increase capital spending on the sector. Any update on the company's efforts to expand its leasing and lending business is likely to remain on investors' radar.
In the March quarter (Q4 FY26), IRFC reported a 9.1% year-on-year rise in revenue from operations to ₹7,335.75 crore. Net profit was largely flat at ₹1,684.31 crore, compared with ₹1,681.87 crore a year earlier, while total income increased 9% to ₹7,328.68 crore.
IRFC shares have corrected sharply from their record high over the past few months despite seeing some recovery in recent sessions. The stock is down about 33% over the past year and nearly 27% over the last six months. It hit a 52-week high of ₹137.17 in December 2025 and a 52-week low of ₹86.02 earlier this month.
The June-quarter results will show whether the company has been able to maintain its growth trajectory despite a relatively high interest rate environment. Investors will also look for any guidance on business growth and funding plans for the rest of FY27.
