Incorporated in 1990, Kumar Cotton Mills is engaged in the processing of woven and knitted fabrics through bleaching, dyeing, printing and finishing operations. The fabrics processed by them are primarily used in suiting, shirting, women’s apparel, hosiery, nightwear and other garment applications.

India is the world’s second-largest producer of textiles and garments and the third-largest exporter, covering apparel, home textiles, and technical textile products. The country holds a 4.6% share of global trade and features among the top five exporters in several categories. The industry contributes around 2% of India’s GDP and about 11% of manufacturing GVA (Gross Value Added) as of February 2026. Its role in employment is also significant, with over 45 million people engaged and about 22,000 million garments produced annually.

By 2030, the textile industry’s share in GDP is expected to more than double, reaching close to 5%. The market is projected to reach US$ 21375 crores by 2034, exhibiting a CAGR of 3.83% from 2026-34. The textile industry in India is predicted to double its contribution to the GDP, rising from 2.3% to approximately 5% by the end of this decade.

In February 2026, the Government of India reiterated its focus on strengthening the textile sector through initiatives such as PM MITRA Parks, the Cotton Mission, and technical textiles development, aimed at enhancing global competitiveness, promoting innovation, and supporting MSME-driven growth across the value chain.

Incorporated in 1990, Kumar Cotton Mills is engaged in the processing of woven and knitted fabrics through bleaching, dyeing, printing and finishing operations. The fabrics processed by them are primarily used in suiting, shirting, women’s apparel, hosiery, nightwear and other garment applications. They undertake fabric processing on a job work basis as well as on an own account basis, under which they procure grey fabric, process it at their manufacturing facility and sell the processed fabric to their customers. The customers primarily comprise garment manufacturers, textile manufacturers and processors, traders and wholesalers.

The company operates through the following principal business models:

  • Own-account processing and sale
  • Business model comprising job work processing and own-account processing.
  • Experienced promoters and management team.
  • In-house quality-control and testing facilities.
  • A significant portion of their revenue from operations is generated from fabric processing services undertaken on a job work basis.
  • A majority of their revenue is derived from a limited number of customers.
  • A majority of their sales is concentrated in Gujarat.
  • They are significantly dependent on a limited number of suppliers for procurement of their raw materials and consumables required for their operations.
  • The company has acquired a 99% stake in Aarjay Enterprises, a related party entity engaged in weaving activities.

Kumar Cotton Mills’s Total Income for FY25 was ₹240.01 crores, whereas in FY24 and FY23 it was ₹249.14 crores and ₹251.93 crores, respectively.
