Why This Change?

  • To ensure better alignment with the settlement cycle and minimize discrepancies.
  • To provide detailed and transparent MTM and MTF reporting for improved client reconciliation.

Impact on Clients:

  • Cash segment entries will continue to follow the same posting timeline, ensuring no change in reconciliation.
  • Derivative-related entries will now reflect on the T+1 (T being trade day) with accurate settlement date posting.
  • MTM and margin entries will be posted correctly on the settlement day (T+1), reducing discrepancies.
  • MTF transactions can now be reviewed separately through the dedicated MTF ledger.

How to Verify the Changes:

  • Compare your contract note details with the ledger to ensure that the final rounded amount is accurately posted.
  • Access the new MTF ledger to track margin-related activities separately.
  • Click here to read more about the updated contract note format.

✅ Earlier:

  • Margin entries and MTM entries for trades executed on T date were posted on the same day (T), and previous day margins were not displayed.
    ✅ Now:
  • Both margin and MTM entries for T date will be posted on T+1 day.
  • Previous day margins will be reversed and displayed accordingly.

✅ Yes, the Trade Date field will be replaced with Date to align with the revised posting cycle.

✅ Earlier:

  • MTF (Margin Trading Facility) entries were included within the regular ledger, making it difficult to view MTF-ledger separately.
    ✅ Now:
  • A dedicated MTF ledger has been introduced, allowing clients to view and reconcile MTF-related entries independently for better clarity and understanding.

You can access the MTF ledger through your regular account login. Navigate to the ledger section and select the Only MTF option to view MTF ledger seperately.

No, cash segment entries will continue to follow the same posting timeline, ensuring no change in reconciliation for cash trades.

To verify the changes:

  • Access the new MTF ledger to track and reconcile margin-related activities separately.
