Infosys Q1 FY27 Results Preview: What Are Analysts Expecting?
Analysts expect Infosys to report around 2% sequential revenue growth in constant currency during the June quarter, supported by seasonal strength, additional billing days and contributions from recent acquisitions. However, demand conditions are expected to remain uneven across key markets and industry verticals amid macroeconomic uncertainty and pricing pressure linked to AI adoption.
Market participants will also watch for any revision to the company's FY27 revenue growth guidance. Analyst estimates suggest Infosys could trim the upper end of its constant currency revenue growth guidance by 50 basis points to a range of 1.5-3.0% for the full year.
EBIT margins are expected to improve by about 27 basis points sequentially, aided by deferred wage hikes compared with peers and continued benefits from the Project Maximus cost optimisation programme. Large deal total contract value (TCV) is projected to remain broadly stable at $2.5-2.75 billion during the quarter.
Infosys Q1 FY27 Results: Key Monitorables for Investors
Beyond the headline numbers, investors will closely track management commentary on discretionary spending in the US, AI-led deal conversions, client decision-making in the BFSI segment and the impact of geopolitical developments on demand.
The Street will also watch for updates on operating margins, employee attrition, hiring plans, utilisation levels, currency movements and any changes to the company's full-year growth outlook.
The June-quarter results come weeks after Infosys co-founder and chairman Nandan Nilekani said at the company's 45th Annual General Meeting that Infosys is targeting a $400 billion AI-first services opportunity by 2030. He said AI is expected to amplify companies that adapt quickly rather than replace IT services firms, while highlighting that enterprise AI adoption still requires significant work around cybersecurity, resilient architecture, testing and data governance.
Infosys has also continued to strengthen its AI offerings through strategic partnerships. In June, the company announced a collaboration with US-based not-for-profit healthcare organisation Sentara to build an AI-driven digital foundation using its Topaz Fabric agentic services suite to improve operational efficiency and patient experience.
Earlier in the month, Infosys partnered with Germany's Handelsblatt Media Group to launch Editorial Link Intelligence, an AI-powered editorial recommendation engine built on the Infosys Aster marketing suite for use across Handelsblatt and WirtschaftsWoche publications.
