India's media and entertainment sector is large and growing. The industry reached a size of ₹2.50 trillion in CY 2024, up from ₹1.92 trillion in CY 2019, a compound annual growth rate of roughly 5.7%. It is projected to expand at about 7.2% to ₹2.68 trillion in CY 2025 and further to ₹3.06 trillion by CY 2027. Digital media has led this shift, overtaking television in CY 2024 with a 32% market share.

The mix is changing fast. New media, spanning digital platforms and online gaming, grew from a 20% share in 2019 to 41.3% in 2024, while traditional television, print, radio, and cinema slipped from 76% to 46%.

Streaming is another driver. India is among the fastest-growing OTT markets, with over 500 million monthly active video users, and the OTT segment is projected to grow at a CAGR of approximately 14.9% between FY 2024 and FY 2029. Television still anchors the industry, contributing nearly 40% of revenues in FY 2024 across more than 230 million television households. Optimystix produces both fiction and non-fiction content across television, films, and digital platforms, positioning it across each of these growth pools. About Optimystix Entertainment India

Optimystix Entertainment India was incorporated in Mumbai on October 31, 2000. It creates and produces content for television, films, and digital platforms. The Company and its promoters have been active in the Indian entertainment industry for over 25 years. It has produced more than 150 television shows comprising over 7,500 hours of original programming across all major national broadcasters.

Its catalogue includes long-running franchises. Comedy Circus ran for eight years and features in the Limca Book of Records, Crime Patrol has exceeded 1,100 episodes, and Baalveer has crossed 2,000 episodes. The Company operates across fiction and non-fiction formats at scale, one of the few Indian production houses to do so. Over the last four years it has also expanded into feature films and web series, with theatrical titles such as OMG 2, Khel Khel Mein, and The Diplomat that later streamed on Netflix.

  • The company has produced more than 150 shows and over 7,500 hours of programming across all major Indian broadcasters over a 25-year track record.
  • A diversified revenue mix across films, television, and OTT content reduces dependence on any single genre or platform.
  • The company operates an end-to-end, vertically integrated production model spanning ideation, creative development, production, post-production, and delivery.
  • It secured preferred early access to Google's generative video platform Veo-3, giving it a first mover position in India for AI-powered content creation.
  • Long standing relationships with all major broadcasters and leading OTT platforms translate into prime slots, faster greenlights, and reliable content pipelines.
  • A partnership with T-Series funds production and monetisation while the Company retains a 50% share of intellectual property rights and profits.
  • The Company's top five customers contributed 85.05% of revenue in FY 2026, so the loss of a key customer could materially hurt its financial results.
  • Commercial success depends on unpredictable audience acceptance of shows and films, and there is no guarantee that future projects will repeat past hits.
  • Production is complex and prone to talent, location, and scheduling delays, which can cause cost overruns that may not be recoverable from clients.
  • The shift from a commissioned model to owning intellectual property raises capital intensity and earnings volatility, and underperforming content can trigger inventory impairment.
  • The Company reported negative cash flow from operating activities of ₹8.05 crores in FY 2026 and sustained negative cash flows could constrain its ability to fund operations.
  • The Company does not own the intellectual property for much of its commissioned television and OTT content, limiting its ability to monetise that content independently.
