Indian markets ended the week higher as easing crude prices and banking strength supported sentiment. HDFC Bank, Persistent Systems, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IRFC, IIFL Finance and APSEZ will be in focus on 29 June.
Indian equity markets ended the week on a firm note, with the BSE Sensex rising 109.25 points (0.14%) to 77,100.47. On the other hand, Nifty 50 gained 34.35 points (0.14%) to 24,056.00. For the week, the Sensex advanced 0.4%, while the Nifty added 0.2%, marking its third consecutive weekly gain. Easing Brent crude prices, supportive RBI measures and strength in financial and pharmaceutical stocks lifted sentiment.
Stocks In Focus
HDFC Bank
The bank said on Friday that an independent legal review carried out by two external law firms found no evidence to support allegations made by former chairman Atanu Chakraborty in his resignation statement.
Persistent Systems
The company is set to acquire Nagarro SE for EUR 81 per share. The transaction will create the Persistent–Nagarro Group, a US$2.9 billion AI-led digital engineering company, with the deal expected to close in early 2027.
Kotak Mahindra Bank
The lender has initiated the search for a new Chief Executive Officer after Ashok Vaswani decided not to seek another term.
Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC)
The Centre's Offer for Sale (OFS) in IRFC attracted strong investor demand, enabling the government to raise an estimated ₹2,084 crore. Following the robust response, it also exercised the greenshoe option.
IIFL Finance
The company's board has approved plans to raise up to ₹10,000 crore through equity and other eligible securities. It has also doubled the limit for its global medium-term note programme while increasing its overall borrowing capacity.
Transrail Lighting
The engineering company has secured new international transmission and distribution orders worth ₹459 crore, taking its total order inflows for FY27 beyond ₹1,000 crore.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ)
S&P Global Ratings has upgraded the company's long-term issuer credit rating and the rating on its senior unsecured notes to 'BBB' from 'BBB-', while maintaining a Stable outlook.
Hexaware Technologies
The IT services company has been appointed an authorised Anthropic reseller for Amazon Bedrock, joining a select group of firms globally authorised to resell Claude.
Bajaj Healthcare
The company said it has become the first in India to receive a recommendation from the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) for the manufacture and marketing of Cenobamate tablets.
Puravankara
The board has approved the sale of its entire 100% equity stake in wholly owned subsidiary Purva Ruby Properties Private Ltd to Prishal Office Parks III Private Ltd for ₹145 crore.
Waaree Energies
The company issued a clarification regarding recent media reports on a determination by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in an anti-circumvention investigation. Waaree stated that the CBP's findings do not conclude that it exported solar modules manufactured using Chinese-origin cells to the United States.
Power Grid Corporation
The board has approved a proposal to increase the company's borrowing limit to ₹2.2 lakh crore from ₹1.8 lakh crore, subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Aurobindo Pharma
The company announced the successful completion of a USFDA inspection at its Auroactive Pharma facility in Srikakulam. The inspection resulted in two observations, with no impact on the company's financial performance or operations.
