Stocks to watch on 21 July include Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Sobha, Canara HSBC Life Insurance, SML Mahindra, Sammaan Capital and more.

The Indian stock market ended lower on Monday, with the Sensex falling 443 points to 77,708.52. The Nifty 50 declined by 95 points to 24,238.50. Ongoing US-Iran tensions and higher crude oil prices also kept investors cautious. However, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and select mid- and small-cap stocks outperformed, limiting broader losses.

Emcure Pharmaceuticals

Emcure Pharmaceuticals said its co-marketed brand Poviztra has secured approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) for treating non-cirrhotic metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) in adults with moderate-to-advanced liver fibrosis (F2–F3).

Canara HSBC Life Insurance

Canara HSBC Life Insurance reported a 20.3% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹28.1 crore for the June quarter. Net premium earned rose 23.8% to ₹2,047.5 crore, compared with ₹1,653.4 crore in the same period last year.

Sobha

Real estate developer Sobha posted a strong set of first-quarter results. Net profit increased to ₹51 crore, up from ₹14 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue climbed 50% year-on-year to ₹1,278.1 crore, while EBITDA rose to ₹77.6 crore from ₹23.7 crore. EBITDA margin improved to 6.1%, compared with 2.8% a year earlier.

Sammaan Capital

Sammaan Capital's Securities Issuance and Investment Committee has approved a cash tender offer to repurchase up to $18 million of its outstanding $350 million 9.70% Senior Secured Social Bonds due 2027.

SML Mahindra

SML Mahindra reported a mixed performance for the first quarter. Net profit declined 5.1% year-on-year to ₹64 crore, despite revenue increasing 13.2% to ₹957 crore. EBITDA fell 4.7% to ₹100.1 crore, while EBITDA margin narrowed to 10.5% from 12.4% a year earlier.

Unitech

Unitech said the tenure of Chairman and Managing Director Yudhvir Singh Malik, who was appointed by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs under a Supreme Court directive, concluded on 20 July. The company added that it has not yet received any communication regarding the appointment of a successor.

Technocraft Industries

Technocraft Industries has discontinued manufacturing operations at its Fabric Division in Murbad, Maharashtra, with effect from 20 July, citing prolonged losses and unfavourable market conditions.

The company clarified that its garment business will continue through subsidiary Technocraft Fashions, while the Yarn Division remains unaffected.

Separately, subsidiary Technosoft Engineering Projects has acquired a 100% stake in newly incorporated Technosoft Integrated Solutions K.K. in Tokyo, Japan, for 50,000 Japanese yen (approximately ₹30,000) as part of its overseas expansion strategy.
