Imagicaaworld Q2 FY27: Footfall Falls 6% As Heavy Rains Hit Parks; Novotel Sale Approved For ₹248 Crore Value
Imagicaaworld reports a 6% fall in Q2 FY27 footfall due to heavy rains and approves the ₹248 crore sale of Novotel Imagicaa.

Imagicaaworld Entertainment reported a 6% year-on-year decline in consolidated footfall during Q2 FY27, as heavy rains in July and August affected visitor numbers. The company approved the sale of Novotel Imagicaa for ₹248 crore, completed the conversion of its outstanding warrants into equity shares and acquired a 50% stake in the operator of Shanku’s Water Park. It is also preparing to enter indoor entertainment with Hello Park in Hyderabad.

Imagicaaworld Entertainment Limited recorded lower park attendance in the September quarter amid heavy monsoon rainfall. Its latest business update outlines developments in its portfolio and capital structure, alongside its move into new entertainment formats.

Consolidated footfall across its parks stood at 2.1 lakh during Q2 FY27, compared with 2.25 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The company attributed the decline primarily to heavy rainfall in July and August across its key catchment areas.

Imagicaaworld Entertainment shares were trading at ₹45.96 on 19 October 2026, down ₹0.54 or 1.17% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The stock touched an intraday high of ₹46.57 and a low of ₹45.57, with trading volume at 3,18,383 shares.

The company announced several changes to its business during and immediately after the quarter.

  • Novotel Imagicaa sale: The board approved the sale of the hotel to Juniper Hotels Ltd for a lump-sum consideration of ₹248 crore. A binding memorandum of understanding was signed in the first week of October.

  • Shanku’s Water Park acquisition: Imagicaaworld acquired a 50% stake in Mehsana Next Parks Private Ltd, the special purpose vehicle that owns and operates Shanku’s Water Park in Mehsana, between Ahmedabad and GIFT City.

  • Warrant conversion completed: The company received the outstanding subscription amount, completing the conversion of its previously allotted convertible warrants into equity shares.

Imagicaaworld received ₹129.45 crore as the remaining subscription amount against 2,34,82,500 convertible warrants issued at ₹73.50 per warrant to promoter and identified non-promoter investors. With the balance payment received, all the warrants have been converted into equity shares, leaving none outstanding.

Imagicaaworld is preparing to enter indoor entertainment with the launch of its first Hello Park at Lakeshore Mall in Hyderabad during Q3 FY27. The project will be operated through its wholly owned subsidiary, Imagicaa Next Private Limited.

The company operates entertainment destinations under the Imagicaa, Wet’nJoy, Sai Teerth and Aqua Imagicaa brands. Its latest update reflects efforts to diversify its offerings beyond outdoor parks while navigating weather-related fluctuations in visitor attendance.

The company clarified that its Q2 FY27 financial results remain subject to review by its auditors.
