ixigo Share Price Jumps Over 13% After Q2 Results As Profit Hits Record ₹63 Crore
ixigo shares surge 13% after Q2 profit hits a record ₹63.42 crore, with revenue up 13% and travel bookings growing.

ixigo shares rallied over 13% on Monday after the travel platform reported its highest-ever quarterly profit of ₹63.42 crore for Q2 FY27. Revenue rose 13% and GTV increased 22%, while hotels emerged as the fastest-growing business.

ixigo shares jumped over 13% on Monday, October 19, in the first trading session after the travel platform reported its Q2 FY27 results, with profit reaching a record ₹63.42 crore and gross transaction value crossing ₹5,300 crore.

The ixigo share price climbed as much as 13% to ₹163.38 on the NSE, compared with its previous close of ₹144.35. The stock pared some of those gains later and was trading at ₹157.50, up 9.3%.

Le Travenues Technology, which operates ixigo, reported a consolidated profit after tax of ₹63.42 crore for the September quarter, against a loss of ₹3.46 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations increased 13% year-on-year to ₹320.96 crore, while gross transaction value rose 22% to ₹5,304.47 crore.

The record quarterly profit was aided by the company's partial sale of its stake in electric bus operator FreshBus. At the same time, ixigo reported strong growth across its hotels, flights and buses businesses, with hotels emerging as its fastest-growing segment.

Monday's rally followed ixigo's Q2 FY27 results announced on Saturday, October 17, giving the market its first opportunity to react to the numbers.

Apart from the turnaround from a year-ago loss to a record quarterly profit, investors were looking at growth across the travel platform's businesses. Gross transaction value rose 22% year-on-year to ₹5,304.47 crore, while contribution margin increased 14% to ₹124.86 crore.

Hotels recorded the sharpest growth during the quarter. Hotel GTV, including Brevistay, jumped 159% year-on-year to ₹111.34 crore. The company said more than 86% of hotel bookings came from existing ixigo users.

Flights and buses also recorded strong growth, with GTV increasing 37% and 32% year-on-year, respectively.

The operating performance was more mixed. Adjusted EBITDA stood at ₹23.58 crore, down 17% from ₹28.48 crore in the year-ago quarter, as the company continued to invest in newer growth areas.

ixigo management said the company delivered resilient growth during the quarter, with GTV rising 22% and revenue increasing 13%. It also acknowledged that the all-time-high PAT was aided by the partial FreshBus stake sale.

The company said it will continue investing in hotels and artificial intelligence as key areas for long-term growth.

Despite Monday's sharp post-results rally, ixigo shares remain under pressure on a longer-term basis. At ₹157.50, the stock is down 34.61% on a year-to-date basis.
