BlueStone share price rallied sharply on Tuesday after the jewellery retailer reported a return to profitability in the June quarter, driven by strong revenue growth, improving operating margins and continued expansion of its retail network. Investors also cheered robust same-store sales growth despite higher gold prices during the period.

The stock outperformed the broader market after the company announced its Q1 FY27 results following market hours on Monday, with shares hitting their highest level in eight months during Tuesday's session.

BlueStone shares opened sharply higher at ₹633, compared with the previous close of ₹610, and extended gains through the session to hit an eight-month high of ₹728.40, rising as much as 20%.

At 2:15 pm IST, the stock was trading 18.4% higher at ₹722, taking the company's market capitalisation to around ₹10,972 crore. The rally marked the stock's strongest single-day gain since its listing in August 2025.

The stock has rebounded more than 80% from its all-time low of ₹399.80 and is trading within about 8% of its record high of ₹793.

BlueStone reported a consolidated net profit of ₹6 crore for the April-June quarter, compared with a net loss of ₹34.7 crore in the corresponding period last year. Sequentially, profit declined from ₹31.2 crore in Q4 FY26. On an adjusted standalone basis, the company posted a profit of ₹14 crore against a loss of ₹21 crore a year earlier.

Operating revenue rose 50% year-on-year and 8% sequentially to ₹736.8 crore, while retail sales increased 49% from the year-ago period. EBITDA margin expanded 354 basis points year-on-year to 15%.

The company reported same-store sales growth (SSSG) of 39% during the quarter despite higher customs duty on gold. Its customer base grew 21% year-on-year, while repeat customers contributed nearly 60% of revenue, supporting higher average order values and lower customer acquisition costs.

BlueStone added 12 stores during the quarter, taking its retail network to 352 stores across 139 cities after entering five new Tier-II and Tier-III markets.

The company said it continues to see significant growth opportunities beyond metropolitan cities while strengthening its presence in existing markets. Its direct-to-consumer website remains primarily a discovery platform supporting offline sales.

Over the longer term, BlueStone plans to expand its retail footprint to 706 stores by FY30. At its investor day in June, the company projected annual revenue of ₹12,000 crore by FY30, compared with ₹2,486 crore in FY26, with both same-store sales growth and new store additions expected to drive growth.
