Asian Paints Q1 Results FY27: Net Profit Jumps 40% To ₹1,539 Crore, Revenue Up 18%

Asian Paints reported a 40% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,539.25 crore for the June quarter, while revenue from operations increased 18% to ₹10,521.44 crore. Higher operating margins, steady decorative paints demand and strong international business growth supported the company's performance.
Asian Paints Q1 Results FY27: Asian Paints on Wednesday reported its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), with double-digit growth in revenue and profit, supported by higher sales in its decorative paints business and a strong performance from international operations.
The country's largest paint manufacturer reported a consolidated net profit attributable to owners of ₹1,539.25 crore for the April-June quarter, up 40% from ₹1,099.77 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue from operations increased 18% year-on-year to ₹10,521.44 crore, compared with ₹8,924.49 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Profit before tax rose to ₹2,096 crore from ₹1,509 crore a year earlier, while EBITDA (PBDIT) grew 33% to ₹2,169 crore from ₹1,625 crore. EBITDA margin expanded to 20.6% from 18.2% in the corresponding quarter last year.
On a standalone basis, net sales rose 17% year-on-year to ₹9,157 crore, while net profit increased 34% to ₹1,478 crore.
Asian Paints Q1 FY27 Segment Performance
The decorative paints business continued to support the company's performance during the quarter, reporting 9% volume growth, while value growth stood at 16.6%, aided by calibrated pricing actions.
The international business remained the standout performer, with net sales rising 27.2% year-on-year to ₹936.5 crore. In constant currency terms, sales increased 20.3%, led by markets including Egypt, the UAE, Oman, Nepal and Bangladesh. Profit before tax from the international business nearly doubled to ₹74.1 crore.
Within the Home Décor portfolio, the kitchen business reported a 10.1% increase in net sales to ₹108 crore, while its loss before tax narrowed sharply to ₹0.3 crore from ₹8.8 crore a year earlier. The bath fittings business, however, saw net sales decline 4.3% to ₹84.9 crore, with the loss before tax widening to ₹8.8 crore.
Among other businesses, White Teak reported a 7.4% decline in net sales to ₹19 crore, while Weatherseal recorded an 11.2% increase to ₹17 crore.
In the industrial coatings segment, APPPG posted a 21.3% rise in net sales to ₹372.9 crore, while PPGAP reported a 13.5% increase in revenue to ₹651.9 crore. Both businesses reported higher profit before tax compared with the year-ago quarter.
Asian Paints Q1 FY27 Results: Management Commentry
Managing Director and CEO Amit Syngle said the company started FY27 on a positive note, building on the momentum seen in the previous quarter. He said the decorative paints business delivered healthy volume growth, while industrial coatings maintained a mid-teen growth trajectory.
Syngle said profitability improved on the back of measured price increases, a better product mix, formulation and sourcing efficiencies, and disciplined cost management. He added that the company would continue to focus on technology, innovation and customer-centric initiatives while remaining watchful of volatility in raw material prices.

Following the earnings announcement, Asian Paints shares were trading 2.91% higher at ₹2,815.80 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
