Markets may open weak due to geopolitical concerns. Amid the uncertainties, stocks such as RIL and Axis Bank will be in focus.

The Nifty 50 is expected to have a weak start on Monday, due to growing geopolitical concerns, foreign outflows and weak IT sector earnings. The Nifty 50 closed at 23,897.95 at the end of the week, registering a decline of 1.87%. On the other hand, the Sensex ended at 76,664.21. The Monday trading session is likely to remain volatile and be largely driven by news flow.

Here are the stocks in focus:

  • Reliance Industries: The company reported a 12.9% increase in revenue, but its profit contracted by 8.9%.

  • Axis Bank: The profit of the bank fell by 0.6% to ₹7,071.3 crore and net interest income increased by 4.7%.

  • RBL Bank: The bank reported a 234% increase in profit, with the gross non-performing assets standing at 1.45%.

  • Paytm: The RBI has cancelled Paytm Payments Bank’s licence under Section 22(4) of the Banking Regulation Act. The bank will cease all banking operations, with its board approving a wind-down. There is no financial impact and its operations remain unaffected.

  • M&M Financial Services: The profit of the company increased by 55% to ₹873 crore and revenue from operations grew by 13.2%.

  • IDFC First Bank: The net profit of the bank expanded by 4.9% and net interest income increased by 15.7%.
