How do I transfer Mutual Funds from one broker to another?
It depends on your current and target holding type:
- SOA to SOA (Statement of Account to Statement of Account)
- Fill a Change of Broker (COB) form as per instructions from the broker & submit it to the broker
- SOA to Demat
- Open a Demat account with your new broker
- Submit a Dematerialization Request (CRF)
- Fill a COB form & submit it to your new broker
- Demat to Demat
- Submit a DIS slip to your current broker with details of your mutual fund holdings
- Share your Client Master List (CML) with the new broker
- Demat to SOA
- Rematerialize the units by submitting a Re-materialization form to your existing broker
- Once units are rematerialized or converted to SOA, Fill a COB form & submit it to your new broker
? COB form is mandatory in all transfers involving SOA/physical mode of holdings
