How do I transfer Mutual Funds from one broker to another?

It depends on your current and target holding type:

  1. SOA to SOA (Statement of Account to Statement of Account)
  • Fill a Change of Broker (COB) form as per instructions from the broker & submit it to the broker
  1. SOA to Demat
  • Open a Demat account with your new broker
  • Submit a Dematerialization Request (CRF)
  • Fill a COB form & submit it to your new broker
  1. Demat to Demat
  • Submit a DIS slip to your current broker with details of your mutual fund holdings
  • Share your Client Master List (CML) with the new broker
  1. Demat to SOA
  • Rematerialize the units by submitting a Re-materialization form to your existing broker
  • Once units are rematerialized or converted to SOA, Fill a COB form & submit it to your new broker

? COB form is mandatory in all transfers involving SOA/physical mode of holdings
