Indian equity benchmarks ended on a muted note on Tuesday as investors weighed strong gains in information technology stocks against weakness across most other sectors. The Sensex slipped 0.09% to 76,765.92, while the Nifty 50 edged down 0.04% to 23,985.35.

Birlasoft

Birlasoft reported a strong start to FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 51.2% year on year during the June quarter.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T)

The company reported a 14% y-o-y increase in consolidated net profit. As per the company, the consolidated net profit increased to ₹4,123 crore for the June quarter. The result exceeded market expectations, supported by steady execution across its infrastructure businesses.

Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India

Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India posted a 13.3% year-on-year increase in second-quarter net profit. The improvement was supported by higher revenue and stronger operating margins.

Varun Beverages

Varun Beverages reiterated its confidence in delivering healthy volume growth despite a weather-affected April. Management said demand has recovered, with most months since March recording growth of more than 20%, while ruling out an aggressive expansion in the ₹10 price segment.

Phoenix Mills

Phoenix Mills reported a 23.3% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹296.9 crore for the June quarter. The growth reflected steady performance across its retail-led real estate portfolio.

Tata Capital

Tata Capital reported a 56% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,547 crore during the June quarter. Assets under management also increased 22% to ₹2.91 lakh crore, reflecting continued business expansion.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)

The company announced the appointment of Shatmanyu Shrivastava as its Chief Financial Officer. The appointment took effect on 28 July 2026.

DCM Shriram

DCM Shriram reported a more than six-fold jump in net profit for the June quarter. Revenue and operating profit also recorded year-on-year growth, reflecting strong business performance.
