After opening sharply lower, Nifty 50 staged a strong recovery on 2 June as buyers stepped in at lower levels. The index erased its early losses and remained firm through the day, ending the session in the green after touching an intraday high of 23,556.95. With market participants expecting positive movement on 3 June, below are the key stocks to keep track of on Wednesday.
Stocks In Focus
Adani Ports & SEZ
Adani Ports reported a 15% year-on-year increase in cargo volumes. However, rail logistics volumes fell 19% compared to the same period last year.
Canara Bank
Canara Bank's board has approved a fundraising plan of up to ₹8,500 crore during FY27 to bolster capital adequacy and support future expansion. The proposed capital raise includes up to ₹4,500 crore through Basel III-compliant Additional Tier-1 (AT1) bonds and up to ₹4,000 crore via Tier-II bonds, subject to regulatory clearances and market conditions.
Vedanta
Vedanta disclosed that officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) visited certain offices of the company and its subsidiary, Hindustan Zinc. The company said it is extending full cooperation and furnishing all information requested by the investigating authorities.
InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo)
IndiGo has decided to suspend operations on its Manchester route from 31 August 2026. According to the airline, increasing operating expenses and other cost-related challenges have prompted a review of the route's commercial viability.
Concord Biotech
Concord Biotech has secured approval from the US FDA for its Mycophenolate Mofetil for Oral Suspension USP product. The medication is used to help prevent organ rejection in adult and pediatric transplant patients aged three months and older.
John Cockerill India
John Cockerill India, along with its wholly owned subsidiary John Cockerill Metal International SA, has won contracts from JSW Vijayanagar Metallics.
Advait Energy Transitions
Advait Energy Transitions has entered into a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) to develop a standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.
Dhanuka Agritech
Dhanuka Agritech's share buyback programme worth ₹70 crore is scheduled to commence on 4 June. Under the offer, the company intends to repurchase up to 5 lakh equity shares at a buyback price of ₹1,400 per share.
Bliss GVS Pharma
Bliss GVS Pharma announced that its manufacturing facility in Palghar has received Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification from the World Health Organisation (WHO). The certification confirms compliance with globally recognised manufacturing and quality standards.
