BEL Q1 Results 2027

BEL Q1 FY27 Results: In the first quarter of FY27, Bharat Electronics experienced a 25.3% growth in annual sales from operations, reaching ₹5,533 crore. Profit after tax increased by 8.2%, and its order book remained strong.

Bharat Electronics (BEL) Q1 FY27 results reflected a strong start to the financial year. Revenue from operations increased 25.3% year-on-year to ₹5,533.06 crore from ₹4,416.83 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Profit before tax (PBT) rose 8.8% to ₹1,402.83 crore, while profit after tax (PAT) increased 8.2% to ₹1,048.33 crore. The company’s financial statements showed total income rising to ₹5,716.54 crore during the quarter. Earnings per share (EPS) improved to ₹1.44 from ₹1.33 a year earlier, while total comprehensive income attributable to shareholders stood at ₹1,029.01 crore.

The defence public sector undertaking (PSU) maintained healthy business momentum during the June quarter, supported by strong execution across its order pipeline. The company said its order book stood at ₹72,258 crore as of 1 July 2026, providing healthy revenue visibility for the coming quarters.

In addition to reporting its quarterly results, BEL's board approved a proposal to raise the company's authorised share capital from ₹750 crore to ₹1,000 crore, subject to approval by the company's shareholders at the upcoming annual general meeting. The directors hope the decision to raise the share capital by ₹250 crore would be helpful to meet possible capital requirements later.

The company continued to maintain a healthy profitability profile despite higher operating expenses. Total expenses increased during the quarter in line with higher business activity, while employee benefit costs and material consumption remained the largest cost components. Even so, BEL delivered higher earnings and sustained its margin profile, reflecting continued demand for defence electronics and execution of ongoing projects.

BEL mentioned that it had evaluated its agreements with Israeli companies, considering the continuing geopolitical conflict and believed that the conflict had no significant financial impact on its operations up to the reporting period.

As a Navratna public sector enterprise, BEL's quarterly results and key corporate announcements are closely tracked by investors. On 27 July, BEL's share price closed the day at ₹407.15 on the National Stock Exchange.
