The Sensex and Nifty 50 ended Monday’s trading session in the green on positive global cues. Upon close, the:

Nifty 50 stood at 23,995.95, up 0.96%

Sensex stood at 76,835.78, up 1.02%
Broader markets also ended higher. The Nifty Midcap 100 index ended 1.11% higher. The Nifty Smallcap 100 index, on the other hand, ended 1.31% higher. On the sectoral front, the Nifty IT, Nifty Media and Nifty Realty outperformed (see table).

Crude Oil Rates Today
Crude oil prices cooled to some extent as the US and Iran halted strikes against each other. At 15:38, Brent oil futures for October 2026 stood at $85.18 per barrel. During the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures for September 2026 stood at $82.69 per barrel.

Gold And Silver Rates Today
Gold and silver prices rose due to the pause in Middle East hostilities. Both traded higher on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX). At 15:39, gold August futures on the MCX stood at ₹1,43,901 per 10 grams, up 0.56%. September silver futures during the same time stood at ₹2,24,017 per kg, up 0.85%.
Though markets ended on a high, experts feel that their future course of action will depend largely on developments between the US and Iran. Any escalation could drag the markets lower in the upcoming trading sessions.
