Adani Energy Launches ₹3,100 Crore QIP

Adani Energy Solutions has launched its QIP to raise up to $364 million (around ₹3,100 crore). The company has fixed the floor price at ₹1,698.15 per share. Adani Energy may offer institutional investors a discount of up to 5%.

Adani Energy Solutions has opened its Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) after receiving approvals from its board and shareholders. The Adani Energy Solutions QIP Committee approved the issue's launch on 27 July and set the floor price at ₹1,698.15 per equity share, in line with the pricing formula prescribed under SEBI regulations.

The company intends to raise up to $364 million (approximately ₹3,100 crore) through the institutional share sale. The floor price has been fixed at ₹1,698.15 per share. However, Adani Energy may offer eligible institutional investors a discount of up to 5%. The final issue price will be decided after the book-building process in consultation with the appointed lead managers.

The board had approved the fundraising proposal on 1 July 2026, followed by shareholder approval through a special resolution on 25 July 2026.

SBI Capital Markets, ICICI Securities, IIFL Capital Services and Jefferies India have been appointed as the book-running lead managers for the issue. The company has also approved the preliminary placement document and will file it with both the BSE and the NSE.

The fundraising comes shortly after Adani Energy reported a strong Q1 performance. Consolidated net profit rose 19.3% year-on-year to ₹983 crore, while revenue from operations increased 16.6% to ₹4,431 crore. EBITDA climbed 31% to ₹3,985 crore, with the EBITDA margin expanding to 90% from 80% a year earlier.

The company also expanded its operational renewable energy capacity by 35% year-on-year to 19.3 GW, while energy sales increased 30%. During the quarter, it commissioned 1,972 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity, taking its total installed BESS capacity to 3,551 MWh.

On 28 July at 11:40 AM, Adani Energy Solutions Shares were trading at ₹1,667.70, down 2.09%.
