Indian markets end their losing streak amid weak global cues. Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, Zydus Lifesciences, NBCC and Zaggle remained in focus after earnings, buyback plans and order wins.

Indian equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NIFTY 50, ended Wednesday’s session slightly in the green, snapping a four-day losing run.

The Sensex edged up 50 points, or 0.07%, to finish at 74,608.98, while the Nifty 50 added 33 points, or 0.14%, to settle at 23,412.60. Broader markets performed better than the headline indices, with the BSE Midcap index gaining 0.71% and the BSE Smallcap index advancing 0.27%.

Market sentiment may remain positive in the next session as GIFT Nifty trends pointed towards a stronger opening on Thursday. GIFT Nifty was trading near the 23,553 level, more than 130 points compared to the previous close of Nifty futures.

Bharti Airtel

The company posted a stable performance for the March quarter, with consolidated net profit increasing 10.5% sequentially to ₹7,325 crore from ₹6,630 crore in Q3 FY26.

Bharti Hexacom

The company reported a 4.6% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for Q4 FY26 at ₹446.7 crore, compared with ₹468.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Tata Motors

The automaker recorded a 33.8% rise in consolidated net profit from its commercial vehicles business for the March quarter at ₹1,793 crore, against ₹1,340 crore a year ago. Profit before tax, excluding exceptional items, rose 29% to ₹2,400 crore.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals

The company posted a consolidated net loss of ₹533.9 crore in Q4 FY26, compared with a profit of ₹169.5 crore in the year-ago period, after booking a ₹716 crore impairment charge related to its Butterfly Gandhimathi business.

Zydus Lifesciences

The drugmaker informed exchanges that its board will consider a proposal for the buyback of fully paid-up equity shares at its meeting scheduled for 19 May 2026.

Kaynes Technology

The company reported a mixed set of fourth-quarter earnings for FY26, missing Street expectations on both revenue and profitability despite healthy topline growth.

NBCC (India) Limited

The state-run company said it has secured fresh work orders worth ₹131.02 crore for projects in Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi, according to a stock exchange filing.

Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services

The company reported a 30.6% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹41 crore for Q4 FY26, driven by strong revenue growth and improved operating margins.

Several companies, including Apollo Tyres, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Indian Railway Finance Corporation, are scheduled to announce quarterly results on 14 May.
