Indian markets ended largely flat on 4 June as investors stayed cautious before the RBI policy decision. Financial stocks supported benchmarks, while IT lagged and broader markets posted modest gains.
Indian equity benchmarks ended nearly unchanged on 4 June. As per the reports, the Sensex rose by 0.019%, and the Nifty 50 gained 0.047%. Investor sentiment remained cautious ahead of the RBI's policy decision and amid global geopolitical concerns.

ICICI Bank
The b has received a warning from SEBI over its custodial services after an overseas investor was allowed to repatriate funds before completing the mandatory lock-in period under the Voluntary Retention Route (VRR). The regulator cited non-compliance with applicable RBI and SEBI regulations.
Aurobindo Pharma
The drugmaker has secured final approval from the US FDA for its generic version of tofacitinib tablets in 5 mg and 10 mg strengths. The medication is used to treat conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ulcerative colitis. Production will take place at APL Healthcare Unit IV, with an immediate launch planned in the US market.

Chairman Rajesh Mehta has defended the company’s financial reporting, stating that its disclosures are accurate and that SEBI’s observations arise from differences in revenue accounting. He said that the regulator’s assessment did not consider consolidated revenue, following SEBI’s allegation that a significant portion of the company’s earnings originated from overseas subsidiaries whose financial details were not separately disclosed.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles
Chairman N. Chandrasekaran said the company aims to secure more than 20% of India’s passenger vehicle market by 2030, assuming industry volumes reach 6 million units. Speaking at a dealer event in Goa, he reiterated Tata Motors’ planned investment of ₹35,000 crore through the decade and highlighted the company’s transformation into one of India’s leading carmakers.
InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo)
IndiGo will temporarily suspend services to six international destinations because of weak demand and cost-related challenges. Flights to Langkawi, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, and Shanghai will be paused from 1 July, while services to Siem Reap will be halted from 3 July.
CG Power and Industrial Solutions
The company has begun commercial operations at its new extra-high-voltage switchgear manufacturing facility in Nashik, Maharashtra. The unit forms part of its ₹748.2 crore greenfield expansion project and will support the production of advanced power transmission equipment.
