ICICI Prudential Life Q4 PAT soared 58% to ₹609 crore. FY26 profit also increased 34.6% to ₹1,600 crore.
ICICI Prudential Life Insurance’s performance in Q4FY26 was quite impressive.
The company's profit after tax (PAT) for Q4FY26 was ₹609 crore, reflecting a rise of 57.8% year-on-year (YoY) from ₹386 crore. Profit before tax (PBT) for the full year rose to ₹1,807 crore, while full-year PAT came in at ₹1,600 crore, marking a 34.6% increase over ₹1,189 crore in FY25.
The insurer said part of the annual profit growth was supported by ₹114 crore gain from the sale of its pension fund business. Excluding this one-off gain, FY26 PAT growth stood at 25%.
After the Q4 results, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance shares surged by 3.37% to ₹564.90 on 15 April 2026 at 11:36 am.

Other Highlights
The company pointed out that the cut in GST on insurance products from September 2025 played an important role in increasing demand, particularly for protection products. Protection APE showed a YoY increase of 16.4% to get to ₹1,906 crore, while retail protection APE was up by 32.3% and reached ₹791.
Cost control and scale benefits helped improve efficiency despite GST-related changes. Operating expenses reduced slightly to stand at ₹48,300 crore, while the cost-to-premium ratio was stable at 18.2%.
As a result, the board has proposed a final dividend of ₹1.65 per share for FY26.
