SS Retail IPO To Open On 16 September, Issue Size At ₹500 Crore

SS Retail, a multi-brand retailer of mobile phones, accessories and other electronic products, will launch its maiden ₹500 crore initial public offering (IPO) on 16 September. The issue will close on 18 September, while the price band will be announced on 10 September.
The company will raise up to ₹360 crore through a fresh issue, while existing shareholders, including promoters, will sell shares worth ₹140 crore through an offer-for-sale (OFS).
Anand Rathi Advisors and Emkay Global Financial Services have been appointed as the merchant bankers managing the SS Retail IPO.
What Are The Key SS Retail IPO Dates?
The SS Retail IPO will open for subscription on 16 September, with the anchor book scheduled to open a day earlier on 15 September for institutional investors.
The share allotment is expected to be finalised by 21 September, and the company's shares are expected to begin trading on the bourses on 23 September.
The company has reserved ₹12 crore worth of shares for employees. Of the net offer, excluding the employee portion, 50% has been reserved for qualified institutional buyers, 35% for non-institutional investors and 15% for retail investors.
Of the IPO proceeds from the fresh issue, SS Retail plans to spend ₹241.3 crore on additional working capital requirements. Another ₹12.4 crore will be used to set up new stores during financial years 2027 and 2028. The balance will be used for general corporate purposes.
How Did SS Retail Perform Financially?
SS Retail reported consolidated revenue of ₹2,351 crore and a net profit of ₹59.2 crore for the year ended March 2026. On a standalone basis, profit increased 49.6% year-on-year to ₹39.86 crore, while revenue rose 32.4% to ₹1,597.9 crore in the fiscal year ended March 2025.
SS Retail operates a multi-brand retail chain selling mobile phones, accessories and other electronic products across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and Gujarat.
As of March 2026, the company had 503 stores in India, including 458 in Maharashtra. Moneycontrol said this makes SS Retail the largest mobile phone retail chain in West India and the third-largest in India among its peers.
