September IPO Rush: Around 25 Companies May Raise Up To ₹25,000 Crore

The IPO market is set for a busy September, with as many as 25 companies lining up to raise approximately ₹20,000-25,000 crore. Read more.
India’s primary market could see a busy September, with companies planning to launch initial public offerings (IPOs) worth ₹20,000–25,000 crore. Several issuers are looking to complete their share sales before their approvals from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) expire at the end of this month.
Bankers said nearly 25 companies could come to the market in September. Some are trying to get their IPOs done before their SEBI approvals lapse. The pipeline includes both large and mid-sized companies. Several of the planned issues could raise more than ₹500 crore.
Companies Rushing To List Ahead of Regulatory Deadline
In April 2026, SEBI gave a one-time extension to companies whose IPO approvals were due to expire between 1 April 2026 and 30 September 2026. They were allowed to use those approvals until the end of September.
Normally, a company must launch its IPO within 12 to 18 months of receiving SEBI's observation letter. The regulator extended this window after geopolitical tensions and market volatility delayed several fundraising plans.
That extension is now running out. Of the 161 companies that currently hold valid IPO approvals, 35 are set to see their approvals expire on 30 September 2026. Companies that miss the deadline will have to reapply with fresh regulatory clearance.
Pipeline Of IPO-Bound Companies
This month’s IPO line-up includes companies from financial services, chemicals, energy and consumer sectors. Some of the largest IPOs that need to hit D-Street by 30 September include:
Credila Financial Services | May-25 | 5,000 |
Dorf-Ketal Chemicals India | May-25 | 5,000 |
Continuum Green Energy | Apr-25 | 3,650 |
Hero Fincorp | May-25 | 3,600 |
Prestige Hospitality Ventures | Aug-25 | 2,700 |
Innovative India | Aug-25 | 2,000 |
Imagine Marketing | Aug-25 | 1,500 |
Mouri Tech | Aug-25 | 1,500 |
Hero Motors | Sep-25 | 1,200 |
Ravi Infrabuild Projects | Aug-25 | 1,100 |
The pipeline points to improving sentiment among issuers after a cautious first half of the year. Several IPO-bound companies now appear to be timing their issues to take advantage of recent listings and steadier market conditions.
With several IPOs potentially opening around the same time, investor interest could vary from one issue to another. Factors such as the company’s fundamentals, pricing and business model are likely to remain important.
