Wipro Consumer Care Enters Digital-First Skincare
Wipro Consumer Care acquires 60% of Dermatouch for ₹387.5 crore, entering digital-first skincare.

Wipro Consumer Care is acquiring a 60% stake in Dermatouch for ₹387.5 crore. The deal marks its entry into digital-first skincare.

Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting announced the acquisition of Dermatouch, a science-focused, direct-to-consumer premium skincare brand, marking its entry into the digital-first segment.

Wipro Consumer Care will acquire a 60% stake in Dermatouch at an enterprise value of ₹387.5 crore. It will acquire the remaining 40% over the next three years.

Founded by Anish Nagpal and Amit Purswani, Dermatouch offers accessible, dermatology-backed skincare solutions. The company focuses on effective products that address concerns such as pigmentation, acne and sun protection.

The brand's portfolio includes face washes, soaps, serums and creams.

The founders and management team will continue to operate Dermatouch during the three-year transition period. The acquisition follows Wipro Consumer Care's recent purchases of Good Home and Eva from TTK Healthcare.

Earlier this month, the company also acquired S Brands Consumer Care, a Philippines-based personal care company. The latest deal further expands Wipro Consumer Care's presence across personal care categories.

Kumar Chander, CEO of Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, said Dermatouch represents the company's first foray into digital brands. He said Wipro was specifically looking for digital brands with the potential to expand into offline channels.

Dermatouch has already demonstrated this potential, according to Chander. He added that combining Dermatouch's innovation-led approach with Wipro's capabilities would help the brand enter its next phase of growth.

The Dermatouch acquisition is an integral part of Wipro Enterprises' broader consumer products strategy. The deal strengthens Wipro's presence in premium personal care while adding a digital-first brand that could benefit from the group's established distribution and scaling capabilities.
