Eternal Share Price Rises 2% After Q2 Results
Eternal shares rose 2% after Q2 FY27 results, as Blinkit NOV surged 79.3% and quick-commerce profitability improved.

Eternal shares gained around 2% on Thursday after the company’s Q2 FY27 results, with investors tracking strong Blinkit growth, improving quick-commerce profitability and expansion plans.

Eternal share price rose around 2% to ₹316 on the BSE during morning trade on Thursday, October 22, as investors reacted to the Zomato and Blinkit parent’s Q2 FY27 results.

The stock had closed at ₹312.35 on Wednesday. Eternal shares moved higher as investors assessed Blinkit’s growth and improving profitability along with continued momentum in the food-delivery business.

Eternal reported its September-quarter results on Wednesday, with consolidated net profit rising 92.3% year-on-year to ₹125 crore and revenue from operations increasing 77.6% to ₹24,138 crore.

The stock gained as Blinkit’s September-quarter performance showed strong growth along with an improvement in profitability.

The quick-commerce business also continued to expand its network, adding 308 net new stores during the quarter. Eternal has raised its expansion plans and now expects Blinkit to cross 3,500 stores by March 2027 and reach around 5,000 stores by March 2028.

Food delivery also maintained growth during the quarter, while Eternal’s consolidated adjusted EBITDA increased sharply.

Eternal’s consolidated adjusted EBITDA increased 197% year-on-year and 20% sequentially to ₹666 crore during the September quarter.

Total expenses stood at ₹24,166 crore, up 75% from ₹13,813 crore in the year-ago quarter.

On a sequential basis, net profit increased from ₹92 crore in Q1 FY27, while revenue had stood at ₹20,211 crore in the previous quarter.

Blinkit’s net order value (NOV) surged 79.3% year-on-year to ₹20,940 crore and increased 22.2% sequentially during Q2 FY27.

Adjusted EBITDA stood at ₹184 crore compared with a loss of ₹156 crore in the year-ago period. Adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 0.9% of NOV. Blinkit ended the September quarter with 2,751 stores.

Eternal’s food-delivery NOV increased 21.5% year-on-year to ₹11,445 crore during the quarter.

Adjusted revenue rose 35.5% to ₹3,879 crore, while adjusted EBITDA increased 25% to ₹627 crore. Adjusted EBITDA margin stood at 5.5% of NOV.

Average monthly transacting customers increased to 28 million from 27.2 million in the June quarter.

Eternal shares are trading below their 52-week high after the recent movement in the stock. Investors will now track whether Blinkit can sustain its growth while improving profitability as the company accelerates store additions.

The pace of food-delivery growth and Blinkit’s expansion towards more than 3,500 stores by March 2027 will remain among the key factors to watch over the coming quarters.
