Whirlpool India Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: PAT Falls 30% To ₹102.9 Crore

Whirlpool of India Q1 2026-27 Results: Revenue rose 12.1% to ₹2,726.75 crore, but net profit fell 29.6% to ₹102.88 crore despite sequential improvement from the March quarter.
Whirlpool of India's consolidated revenue from operations increased 12.1% year-on-year to ₹2,726.75 crore. Total income also increased 12.4% to ₹2,795.64 crore, but profit before tax (PBT) declined 29.4% to ₹138.75 crore.
Consolidated net profit attributable to equity holders stood at ₹102.88 crore, down 29.6% from ₹145.73 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Earnings per share (EPS) fell to ₹8.11 from ₹11.49. Compared with the March quarter, revenue, profit and EPS improved, with net profit increasing from ₹80.20 crore and revenue rising from ₹2,180.77 crore.
Whirlpool Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Key Highlights
Expenses increased at a faster pace than revenue during the quarter. Total expenses rose 16% year-on-year to ₹2,656.89 crore, led by higher raw material consumption and operating costs. Raw material and component costs increased 20.2% to ₹1,427.02 crore, while employee benefit expenses rose 9.9% to ₹242.92 crore. Other expenses also increased 15.4% to ₹439.26 crore.
The company reported other income of ₹68.89 crore, up 27.4% from a year ago. Finance costs edged lower year-on-year to ₹14.77 crore, while depreciation and amortisation stood at ₹54.48 crore. Tax expense for the quarter came in at ₹35.87 crore, lower than ₹50.36 crore in Q1 FY26.
Whirlpool of India continued to operate in a single reportable segment of Home Appliances during the quarter. The consolidated business includes its wholly owned subsidiary, Whirlpool of India Kitchen Appliances Private Ltd., formerly known as Elica PB Whirlpool Kitchen Appliances Private Ltd.
The company also announced a few leadership changes. Anish Ahuja, currently Head of Service, will join Whirlpool of India Kitchen Appliances Ltd. as Chief Operating Officer from 1 September 2026. Ankit Gupta, Head of Manufacturing Finance, has resigned effective 14 August 2026, while Sourav Chakravarty will take over the role from 10 August 2026.

At the close of the day on 5 August 2026, Whirlpool’s shares ended at ₹808.3 on the National Stock Exchange, down 1.49%.
