Vodafone Idea Shares Climb Around 20% In Six Months; Are Q2 FY27 Results Expected To Fuel This Rally?
Vodafone Idea shares rise 20% in six months ahead of Q2 results 2026-27.

Vodafone Idea shares have gained over 20% in six months despite a sharp correction in the past month. Investors await Q2 FY27 results for updates on subscriber growth, ARPU and expansion plans.

Vodafone Idea shares have taken a beating in recent weeks. The stock has fallen around 20% in the past month, with selling pressure weighing on the telecom company since September. Yet, zoom out to a six-month period, and the picture looks quite different. The stock has gained more than 20% during this time, despite the recent correction.

Investor attention is now shifting to Vodafone's September-quarter earnings, with the government’s relief on adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues adding another dimension to the outlook. The company has not announced its results date yet, though the market expects the announcement around mid-November 2026.

At 12:11 pm today, the Vodafone Idea shares were trading at ₹11.51, down 1.12%.

The relief on AGR dues has eased one of the key concerns surrounding Vodafone Idea. Investors will now look for clarity on the company’s expansion plans and network investments.

Market experts expect subscriber trends to remain a key focus alongside the quarterly numbers. A largely stable subscriber base could reassure investors, while an improvement in average revenue per user (ARPU) and revenue on both a year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter basis would be a positive sign.

The company’s proposed ₹45,000-crore capital expenditure programme is another key area to watch. Positive developments around the plan in the Q2 results could improve investor sentiment. Investors will also look for clarity on how and when the company plans to deploy the funds as it seeks to strengthen its position in the competitive telecom market.

Brokerage estimates suggest that subscriber numbers may remain broadly steady. One brokerage house expects Vodafone Idea's total subscriber base to stay at around 19.5 crore. The other, meanwhile, sees sequential additions of roughly 10 lakh subscribers in Q2 FY27, including around 1 lakh net additions in the 4G segment.

The results will therefore be judged on more than just the headline numbers. Investors will be looking for signs of better ARPU, revenue growth and a clearer expansion plan. Whether those updates are strong enough to support the stock after its recent correction remains to be seen.
